Additional Library Search seamlessly brings your library to your patrons' workflow, displaying your discovery layer alongside Google or Google Scholar search results. This support article details how to enable Additional Library Search for TDNet users.
Prerequisites
Setting up Additional Library Search should take no more than 10 minutes. To complete this task, you will need:
- Access to your Lean Library Dashboard
- TDNet API key
- A Source URL, View More link, and Document link (see below)
Preparing your links
Before setting up Additional Library Search, it will be necessary to create some custom links to add to your settings. The process of doing this is straightforward and detailed below.
Source URL:
The default value should be
https://api.tdnetdiscover.com/v2/publications/search?q=[search_query]
View More link:
The View More link will direct patrons to your discovery layer's results page to view all the results for the keyword you searched. To configure this URL, you need to add your TDNet Discovery domain to the URL below.
https://YOUR_DISCOVERY_DOMAIN/discover/results?q=[search_query]
Document link:
The Document link allows patrons to click directly through to the resource from the Additional Library Search panel. You need to add your TDNet Discovery domain to the URL below.
https://YOUR_DISCOVERY_DOMAIN/discover/result?pubid=[document_id]
API Key:
Add your TDNet API key here.
