The One Click to PDF feature allows you to provide direct links to PDFs and articles from your discovery platform. Add the code snippet generated by Lean Library to your discovery platform to make the One Click to PDF buttons available to all your users. This does not require the Lean Library extension to be installed. Learn more about the feature here.
Setting up One Click to PDF for your institute:
Configuring this feature is a three-step process. Steps 1 and 2 apply to all discovery platforms. Step 3 will vary depending on your specific platform’s requirements
Step 1:
Raise a support ticket at support@leanlibrary.com to let us know you’d like to implement this feature. We’ll notify you once the initial setup is complete and the code is ready for you
Step 2:
Once we confirm setup is complete, go to https://app2.leanlibrary.com/one-click-pdf-settings.
You will see your code snippet available to copy. Click the Copy Code button to copy it to your clipboard
Step 3:
This step requires some basic familiarity with your discovery platform’s administration or back office settings.
Ex Libris Primo and Primo VE Discovery services:
Both Primo and Primo VE discoveries support UI customisations. Administrators can customise logos, colour schemes, labels, CSS, and even inject custom JavaScript to add new features or modify workflows.
If your institution uses Primo Discovery, see Ex Libris’s documentation here to learn how to inject your code snippet into Primo.
If you use Primo VE, please see the documentation here.
If you want to make more detailed customisations, Ex Libris have more information about how to set up a development environment here: https://github.com/ExLibrisGroup/primo-explore-devenv
Important: If your library uses another third-party link integration within your Primo discovery and you would also like to enable Lean Library's One Click to PDF feature, you may require an additional code snippet to ensure both services work together correctly. Click here to read more.
Ex Libris Summon:
