One-Click PDF helps users access the full-text PDF of an academic article with a single click.
It is available in two places:
- Through the Lean Library browser extension
- As an extensionless widget on library discovery platforms
One-Click PDF in the Lean Library browser extension
One-Click PDF is integrated directly into the Lean Library browser extension, helping users access articles while conducting research across the web.
When a user visits an article page and Lean Library finds a matching full-text PDF, the One-Click PDF icon will appear in the Floating Action Button on the right-hand side of the page.
This feature also works on Search results pages such as Google Scholar, PubMed, and Wikipedia References. Clicking the icon opens the available PDF in a new tab.
When will the One-Click PDF button appear?
- If a matching PDF is found, the One-Click PDF icon is displayed.
- If no matching PDF is found, the icon is not displayed.
How will the One-Click PDF appear in the extension?
As a button on an article page |
As a widget on a search results page |

Extensionless button on library discovery
This widget provides instant access to the PDF version of the desired articles. It features an extensionless widget that injects 'Get PDF' or 'Get Articles' buttons into your library discovery search results. These buttons will link your users directly to the full text article.
When you see the Get PDF button, this means we locate the full text in PDF format, and this button will take you directly to the PDF.
When you see the Get Article button, this means a PDF is not available, and you will be provided with the next best alternative option to see the full text.
