Background
Lean Library Workspace is a suite of reference management tools that allow your users to collect references, collaborate on projects with other users, cite references in documents and format citations/bibliographies in various citation styles, along with additional reference management features. This article outlines some important considerations about setting up an OpenURL Link, and how it might affect your users' ability to use Lean Library Workspace.
Setting this up means your users can see an Institutional Access button in the reference card in Lean Library Workspace, which will allow them access to institutional resources on and off campus.
What is required to set up the OpenURL Link?
To get the OpenURL Link set up, we will require your Proxy URL and Link Resolver URL:
- Link Resolver URL – this will enable us to make an API call to your link resolver to look for possible full-text matches whilst on campus.
- Proxy URL – this will enable the user to go through authentication via your institutional proxy to access full-text content whilst off campus.
- Link Resolver Image URL – this will allow your institute image to pop up when the "Inst access" button is hovered over. This is not essential, but it will improve user experience for your students. The dimension of the image should not be larger than 120 pixels (w) x 120 pixels (h), 72 pixels per inch.
