One of the Workflow for LibGuides' supporting tool is to set up surveys for specific locations. This feature enables you to get feedback from your users along with the other features in the onboarding tool.
For example: if you are trialling or just subscribed to a new publisher's website and you wish to collect valuable feedback from your patrons who are using this specific publisher to evaluate if you should continue the subscription. Survey tool comes in handy in these types of situations to provide your survey as an iFrame or a Content.
The first step of setting up the Survey tool is to add a Resource you would like to assign with Survey content. Please click here to see how to create a Resource in the dashboard.
Once you have successfully created the Resource, the next step is to add your Survey content which you would like to present on the location to get feedback. Please see the below images for more info.
On the dashboard, please go to Lean Library Futures > Surveys > Content > New Survey
When setting up a new survey, you can choose between iFrame content or HTML content
To set up HTML content, you will be required to input a Survey title and Survey HTML content.
To set up iFrame content, you will be required to input a Survey title and Survey iFrame link.
Now that you have both the content and the Resource added to the dashboard, it is only a matter of combining these together in order to successfully set up the Survey tool. Please follow the steps below to see how you can combine these two.
On the dashboard, please go to Lean Library Futures > Surveys > Content > New Survey Setup
When you've selected "New Survey Setup" you have the option to choose a General setup or a Specific URL.
With General setup, you will need to select the Content, Resource, the date you want the survey to show from and to, the Frequency and if you want the survey to be Available in the quick menu.
