What is Journal Alert (ToC Alert)?

Journal Alert enables the end-users to subscribe to table of contents (ToC) alerts of their favorite journals. When a new article is added to the journal, the users receive a notification via e-mail about it. Read here to understand more.

As a dashboard admin, you can customise the Journal Alert Button Styling as well as the Journal Alert emails.

How to enable Journal Alert for your patrons?

If you would like to enable Journal Alert for your patrons, please go to the dashboard:

1. Please go to Integration Settings, click into Journal Alert Setup

2. Then switch on the Enable Journal Alerts button

Once Joural Alerts is enabled on the dashboard, patrons will be seeing ToC Alert button, which they can click and then subscribe to the journals.

How to customise Subscription Pages Setup?

For Subscription Pages Setup, you can customise the email alert for Subscribe Page and Successful Subscription Page by adding Page title, Logo, Page Text and Button Text.

This is Subscription Page will appear when a patron click onto the subscription button:

After a patron has entered their email address, they will be showed the Successful Subscription Page

How to customise Email Configuration?

For Email Configuration, you can customise the email alert for Successful Subscription and Update on Journal by adding Email header image, Email subject line and Email body text.
