To maximise the functionality of the Lean Library Extension, we will need some information from your library to integrate and set up the dashboard. Here is the information we will need and how we will use them:
The Access feature
We integrate with your Authentication System to provide access to your extension's users through your library:
General Network Setting:
IP address: for the extension to identify when the patron is on-campus or off-campus
Authentication Setting:
This integration will enable the extension to redirect the patrons to the library's authentication page and gain access to the materials that the library subscribed to.
Proxy: we integrate your authentication system with your proxy server domain along with the licensed eRecourses domains. To manage your list of eRecourses domains, you can also set up automate the import of your eRecourses domains. More info can be found here.
OpenAthens: we integrate your authentication system by adding your OpenAthen Entity ID and the OpenAthens Scope.
Shibboleth: we integrate your Shibboleth Identity Provider (IdP) either via Lean Library Shibboleth redirector or your own custom redirector.
The Alternatives feature
We integrate with the link resolver providers below, to provide access to the article/eBooks via an alternative licensed location within your holdings:
EBSCO LinkIQ: Profile String; Profile Password
Alma: Delivery Domain; Institution code; Campus code (optional)
360Link: Link Hash
Summon: Summon Access ID; Secret key
TDNet: TDNet API Key; TDNet Holdingset
OCLC knowledge base: WSKey / API Key
SFX: Base URL
KBART file: we can import KBART, if you do not have a link resolver system.
For more information on how Alternatives work on the extension, please read more here.
The Assist feature
No integration is required to set up Assist Message
The Search enhancers feature
Google Scholar: Google Scholar ID. This integration will let Google Scholar know that a user is from your institute. This can enhance the search results for the user by providing FullText links next to licensed articles.
PubMed: PubMed otool. This integration will let PubMed know that a user is from your institute. This can enhance the search results for the user by providing FullText links next to licensed articles.
