The Alternatives feature: How to download an EBSCO KBART file

If your library would like to integrate KBART file with Lean Library, please contact EBSCO Support and request automatic delivery of KBART files to Lean Library.

However, if you wish to provide KBART files manually, please follow the steps below to download your holdings in KBART format.

1. Access https://eadmin.ebscohost.com

2. Select Holdings Management

3. Select Download

4. Type: KBART

5. Provide a file name, without this the download button will not be visible

6. Click Create File for Download

Please note that these files can be rather large and we would suggest that you select a service with cloud storage to provide the file to us.

What should be listed on your KBART file?

A KBART file should include headers below:

Essential headers:

• print_identifier

• title_url

Possible headers:

• publication_title

• online_identifier

• date_first_issue_online

• date_last_issue_online

• title_id

• embargo_info

• coverage_depth

• publisher_name

• resource_type

• package_content_type

For example, this KBART file will not be imported to our dashboard, because there is no “print_identifier” and “title_url”. Please adjust “ISSN” to “print_identifier” and “URL” to “title_url”:
